Self Worthiness ❤️

I’ve had a theme this week in my readings where people are linking their self worth to their achievements or lack of achievement.

I think this way of thinking can work its way into our subconscious minds when we are very young and are rewarded everytime we reached a milestone or won a competition.

So when we did something impressive in the eyes of our parents, we were rewarded. When we weren’t being impressive or achieving something, we weren’t acknowledged as much. Certainly there was no reward for doing nothing!

No blame at all to our parents, or my own parents – they were just actively reinforcing positive behaviour. Which is fine.

However, no one explained to us as children that we are worthy regardless of how productive we are –  so as adults we may feel like unless we are productive or achieving something, that we aren’t doing well in life which leads to feelings of chronic unworthiness & depression.

Whatever you achieve, or don’t achieve, you are worthy.

You are worthy of your own love and the love of the people around you.

Stop comparing yourself.

You are running your own race.

Whether you reach a goal or don’t reach it, you are worthy.

When one door shuts, another door opens.

If something doesn’t work out for you, then it’s because something better is just around the corner.

Don’t beat yourself up because you miss a deadline, make a mistake or don’t do something exactly to plan.

Happy Tuesday.
