After some reflection and discussion with some amazingly insightful friends, I would like to share some words regarding the current state of Australia / humanity.
At times like this, when chaos, separation, distrust and misinformation seem to be at the forefront of our lives we must endeavor to remember, at all times, a few simple truths:
Whatever is happening now and whatever happens, it is exactly what is meant to be happening.
There are no coincidences.
Everything that happens be it personally and globally, is what is needed.
It’s all happening for a reason.
There comes a time where it’s actually much more beneficial to adopt a neutral or positive perspective about a situation (COVID-19, Jabs etc) because that neutral / positive energy contributes to our collective consciousness and raises the vibration of humanity as a whole.
We may look like we exist as seperate beings and physically that may be true but energetically, we are all connected. Have you ever thought of a friend and then had them call you a minute later? Some people may call this coincidence but to me, this is proof: we’re all connected beyond the physical reality that we exist in.
Reactivity, especially unconscious reactivity, it really just adds fuel to the negative agenda fire. It doesn’t make us feel good to feel these things and to adopt these extreme points of view, does it?
Remember, you are the one who controls your reaction to any situation in your life. The trick is to be an aware observer of your thought process. The thoughts that are causing you to have a negative emotional response are the ones that you need to examine further. Thoughts are just thoughts, there’s no need to believe them!
Remember: you can be informed and not involved.
I’m not saying you can’t have an opinion – just remember that the emotional weight that you attach to your opinion actually reinforces this narrative and helps it unfold. Be open to all perspectives, not absolutes. When we think in absolutes we leave no possiblity for the opposite to occur. Our focus is narrow and therefore so are our experiences.
Compassion and understanding for everyone around you, family members, friends, it all goes a long way. We are all one. When we accept / realize that other people are just an extension of ourselves, we treat them as we would treat ourselves.
The issue here is that below the surface, most people are extremely self critical. They judge and condemn themselves internally and so this is what they project outwards. Their internal, personal judgements turn into the judgements that they make of others.
When any of my friends approach me with situations where they have been annoyed by the actions of someone in their life, I will ask them – what is it about yourself that you don’t like that you are seeing in this person?
If you show yourself love and acceptance, that’s what you will embody – and that feeling is way more contagious than any virus.
The only way out of this, is in ❤️
If you are stuck in lockdown, try to use this time as a time of introspection and growth. Explore your inner world. Do shadow work. Understand what your negative beliefs are and how they could be holding you back from self love / acceptance.
Ask yourself one question honestly, do I love and accept myself completely?
Follow it up with the next question: what beliefs do I hold that limit my ability to do this?
There is a whole list of questions I will post at some point to use for reflecting on what limiting beliefs are creating resistance to self love.
Enjoy your “now” 😉
